SUPER BRIGHT COLORED AND VERY WELL PRESERVED HIGHER GRADE EXAMPLE OF BATMAN #171 (1ST APPEARANCE OF RIDDLER). MEGA KEY SILVER AGE DC ISSUE THAT WILL ONLY APPRECIATE IN VALUE.
Kept it in dry storage inside plastic case for 15+ years. This is an ORIGINAL, and NOT a reprint obviously. Published in 1965 by DC Comics. It has NOT been graded.
I would call it a FINE+ 6.5 in my opinion, as it looks very nice overall. Grading however is very subjective. Super bright colors, corners are very sharp with some light fuzziness, and very straight edges and virtually NO chipping.
NO large folds or heavy creasing anywhere on cover just a couple of wrinkles by bottom right, it shows BEAUTIFULLY. Back cover is bright with NO chipping, NO marks and hardly any wear (one tiny tear by right edge). Spine has NO rollover (staples still firmly attached) with only minor wear. Inside has off white to white pages, all nice and very legible.Other than relatively minor wear, this book looks SUPER CLEAN! These make a great holiday gift to a fan or loved one. Priced very fairly for a rare piece, key piece of silver age history only to appreciate in value as Marvel and DC Studios keeps pushing out movies. Please make sure you look at pictures and ask questions. I don't want to hear it.
